EDF-15.1 is autoclavable glass bioreactor with a working volume of 11 liters (total volume of 16 liters, the internal diameter of 200 mm).

Bioreactor is foreseen for culturing bacteria, yeast, and mycelia microorganism cultures.

However bioreactor EDF-5.4 can be adapted for culturing mammalian, stem and plant cells.  Depending on the applied microbial culture it is possible to adapt the configuration of the bioreactor in a corresponding way by replacing stirrer and a bubbling system complementing aeration gas mixing unit (air, O2, N2, CO2).

EDF-15.1 has a compact and ergonomic design. Glass cylinder alias vessel is mounted between the upper lid and the metal bottom. The bottom of the vessel has a jacket for temperature control of the vessel. It also has an autoclavable sampler for aseptic sampling. The material of the vessel, which is in contact with the product, is Pyrex borosilicate glass and stainless steel 316L. Bioreactor vessel mounted on a stainless steel legs. The lid has a convenient carrying handle. The design of the bioreactor is easy to maintain and apply basic operations and preparatory process, in particular, washing and autoclaving.
